Just for fun, what is your preference for a good wheel to mount slicks on?  Something new and in style or a retro look like old Cragar SS or Keystones or Raders?  Or maybe you like the old Super Stock look of the 60's with the mag wheel on the front and a plain black steelie to mount the slick?

The whole point of mounting a slick is to maximize strip performance. Why give away some of the benefit be using a heavy wheel? There are newer, lightweight wheels that do not look too high tech and out of place on an old car.

I agree. I would go with some of the lightweight stuff, less rotational mass.
