The '68 shop manual for Charger, coronet and Dart shows it. I have the manual but do not have access to a scanner. I am sure someone on here can help.

The factory shop manuals have a short page of specifications to help when performing collision repairs.  But it is not as thorough as what is available for a modern vehicle.  It is the best we have because the factories did not publish information as detailed as they do today.  (Collision repairs were usually not performed with as much accuracy in the 1960s and 1970s as they are done today.)

Another good idea would be to find another car in your area to measure if that is possible.  It does not need to be a 1968 Dodge Charger if you cannot find that particular model and year.  Any 2-door B-body chassis from Dodge or Plymouth from 1968-1970 would be the same as your car except for the sheetmetal panels of the outer skin.  (Dodge Coronet, Dodge Super Bee, Dodge Charger, Plymouth Satellite, Plymouth Roadrunner, Plymouth GTX.)  The 1966-67 B-body cars and the 4 door models from 1966-70 have the same floorpan and subframe components but the side and upper portions of the unibody are different.

The tolerances on these cars are much looser than with modern vehicles.  Modern vehicles never vary more than 2-3 millimeters from each other anywhere.  But these cars might be built an entire centimeter different from each other in some large cases.

The factories used the circular holes in the subframe rails to locate the components when being welded into place.  These holes are usually the best reference points you can use to compare one car to another.

If you cannot get access to a factory shop manual, I have a copy of the factory information.  I can post it her in 1-2 days.
