Here is what the post reads...1974 Dodge Charger Magnum SE Brougham

Power Windows, Power Seat, Power Brakes, Cruise, A/C,rear window defog, odometer showing 32,813, have factory valve covers and front valance, we believe rear end to be 3.91 posi.  He wants 6500?!?!
runs and drives , car has been stored inside
What i know...    Front and rear lights (Hideaways in front) are from a 71-72 charger.  But i like the look so that is not a deal breaker for me.  It is a 440 magnum car (U code) and Premium package (P code).  That is about it now comes the part for Ya"ll Mopar Junkies can help me..  :2thumbs: What about the hood, power seat, and power windows. Any comments on this car good and bad would be appreciated.  Please inform me rather it would be a good project car or any deal breakers. thank you.

Nacho-RT74

welcome!

Car is SE ( WP29 on vin indicates )

grill is 72SE. 71s have less vertical fins

hood is 71 R/T-Superbee... insert is Superbee.

rear wing wasn't an option on 74s, just 71s ( on 3rd gens )

steering wheel is E body

Power windows were option on 74s, no prob

power seat, Just driver ? or both ? they weren't option on B bodies, just on C bodies ( and they were bench not buckets ) maybe some laters system upgrade

Seat covers are local made. No prob, if you want to change them to original look, they are available from Legendary

It looks good optioned from factory. If you ask me not bad for that price specially being an original U code, tach cluster, power windows, cruise control. It is or was with rear speaker ( noticeable for the fader below dash pad ), so probably AM/FM Mono radio were original equipment, I can see rear deffog switch, pedals bezels... GOOD BODY CONDITIONS! good optioned, definitelly it looks a good deal, even SEs are not the MOST DESIREABLY 73/74 Charger

Some more pics.  the rear quarter is the worse rust on it and the spoiler is just sitting up there backwards (NOT attached) and maybe some info on those pics. rear tail lights, lead joint on roof, engine, rust ect..... i really appreciat all the info so far keep it coming thank you.

Nacho-RT74

lead joint is the factory one.

spoiler, yes is backwards LOL

Tail lights are 71 R/T, 71 500 71 Superbees with colored bumpers and 72 Rallye. For the paint scheme they are suited like 72 Rallyes/71 bees ( 71s R/T and 500s are gray/argent/black ). All are the same just the paint scheme was diff.

I can see the windshield washer reservoir is missed. That will be hard to find!!! cruise control cars use diff reservoir than non cruiser ones.

AC compressor iddler pulley is missed, not a big deal. Just some 74s got that pulley and belts are tensioned anyway by alternator location.

I can see wipers is 3 speeds too... nice.

Rust ? not bad, and the easier part to fix. Won't need a complete skin, just a home made patch will be enough. If some rust on inner panel ( trunk extension ) they are available.

I can see now bumper fillers were removed!!! that took me on detail better both bumpers and NOTICED the front is not just the 72 hideaways assembly like also the bumper. Rear bumper does look was complete changed including tail lights because the only way to get closer the bumper to body is getting rear 71/72 bumper brackets. If 72 rear bumper, you must get slot to bumper jack.

Front bumper must use the same 73/74 brackets but elongating holes to get closer to body, because 71/72 bumper brackets won't meet with frame rails in front

BTW, the charger and arrow emblems on hood at a side of bulged area is not the right location for them... they must be on doors ;D

what do you think guys ? is a nice deal for $6500 ?

sorry I'm not in 73/74 SEs fancies ( I hate louvers   and love the roll down quarter windows ) but is a true U car and really good factory optioned with all those adds on what tipically ppl searchs for to ad on their cars ( hideaways, bulged hood with my fav insert on :D , tail lights, wing ).

I don't like the tail lights either, but is true everybody search them for.

The hood and other bonus parts are a plus, but I'd value it at $5k max. There are lots of less rusted cars out there for similar $$.

I'll take louvered windows over a halo top any day!

Scaregrabber

I really like this car. For a change, all of the non-original parts make it pretty cool. I think $5k would be a fair price taking into consideration the value of the rare add ons and the cost of repairs to get it decent again. I too like the 73-74 SE more than the standard 73-74 cars.

I believe the rear wing is on backwards. Pedestals sway back not forward.

the spoiler is just sitting there, not attached.....
