what body to frame bushings should i use ? these ones http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330368691343&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT  ?  or this type http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140244714725&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT  ?

and on the rear frame rails where the bushings go there is a fine/thin  metal band that extends down from the frame how important is this ? mine is rusted away .

also what keeps the K frame from moving around ? the original bushings had a square metal box that fit firm into the holes of the frame the replacement ones do not look to be as well made . here is a pick of a 73-74 K frame

thanks RANDY

number one:
by the pics, prothane ones looks MORE LIKE THE ORIGINALS, but is very common lot of dealers using generic pics for some products, so dunno about Energy Suspension ones being the right or not :shruggy:

number two:
i can't recall right now

number three:
reffers number one ;D, they have the shape. inner bushing is round same as the hole on isolator. Will fit LIKE A GLOVE

That is exactly what the prothane ones look like, I have a set on my work bench to install when I do the rest of the suspension.

by the looks the FIRM FEEL mounts make the frame solid metal to metal .  :shruggy: dont i still need a rubber bushing between the K frame and the body / frame rails ?

No, those replace the rubber bushings to make everything more firm and together.

as stated those are direct replacement for the rubber cushion to ELIMINATE the frame isolation. that makes it ride and handle similar to earliers where K member is directly bolt on to frame rails, without any kind of isolation or spacing.

The concept of the crossmembers isolation ( K member and T bars crossmember ) is the QUITE RIDE  offered to B bodies on 73s like it was on C bodies.

If you ask me, unless you are going to race, the QUITE RIDE concept is GREAT, and makes really comfortable to drive the car, eliminating some of the road vibrations. If rubber pieces were available I still will go with rubber ( I went with local made aftermarket rubber pieces ), but being not, Poly is a better option than solid. They also protect all the car from loosening and breaks around.

Of course I'm gratefull with the concept because roads down here are a MESS.
