For the love of god, one is enough but.... :RantExplode: Yes I realize some of the videos show the same jump. I guess these guys don't understand "don't try this at home" ::)

I don't even know where they're getting them from I scour Ohio craigslist all day everyday...

Didnt we discuss this video a month or so ago? Just seems like a longer, more theatrical version..

I think it has been brought up before now that you mention it.  I almost want one of them to get hurt so the city says, "no more fellas".

That was AWE... nevermind.. it was stupid.  Sorry, I like tv shows, but to go and watch a reinactment of impersonators and watch the GL die, just doesnt constitute a "good time" for me.

to be honest, i wish all these threads would just go away.  out of sight, out of mind.

It's one Dukes fan that has been doing this a couple years in a row now.  He started off jumping a parts-car left over from a resto project but I think he bought another one since then.

I wish he would stop it too.

3x that

What would be strange, scary, but yet funny for us to see is the car fall apart before it even gets to the dirt hill  :smilielol:, another is have the thing blow a tire/s just as it is about to leave the ramp or should I say dirt hill.

I guess then you are all for them killing chargers? it sure sounds like it with that last line you said there. I do agree with you that it is stupid for them to keep doing it.

bigred68

I know this person, actually pretty well. The Chargers that he has destroyed doing these jumps hardly qualify as cars at all. They're complete pcs. of crap with almost NOTHING worth salvaging.(Although, I guess some might? say that there are some salvageable parts on those cars?) http://www.cglfc.com/main_frame_cglfc.html  That being said...Ray,PLEASE stop doing this. You have children to raise. They do not want to come visit you in a convalescent home until you turn 80. YOU ARE NOT A STUNTMAN MY FRIEND. PLEASE STOP. Even the BEST have sometimes not walked away from these jumps your doing.

no, that is not what i said.  I said i wished "these" threads would stop popping up (no hit on the posters btw, i like ya guys).  if i dont know about it, then it wont sicken me (as much).  just because they post the aftermath video here will not stop the yahoos from continuing the destruction of a iconic musclecar legend.  i just disliike very much being reminded that they are continually destroying the cars that I love.  that is it, nothing more.

will the posts stop? nope, but this will be the last one i post in.

Man, that was a bad landing. don't these guys know how to make a stunt jump? how long until someone gets killed?

:rotz: I would say not soon enough but I would never wish that on anyone.  Tempting however.

Landonsrt

There is no way in hell those cars are worse off than mine is. That one was totally salvageable. Well, not now. Just another meaningless death of a great car! :brickwall:

Red Ram

Even if there was no destruction of a muscle car...it's still completely stupid. Someday this TV show will be washed from the minds of the people. Don't know if I'll live to see the day!

If you find a time when nobody remembers Dukes anymore, then there are probably no musclecars around at all.

LoneStar Mopar

Okay! So they can break away from authenticity by using and jumping a P.O.S. 90s model car for the cop car jump, but they have to use the charger for the General Lee jump? Why not use a P.O.S. 90s car for the GL jump. With the bad lighting and I assume drunken state that most of those people are in a GL painted 90s model caprice will do just fine.

I'm gonna claim nuetrality here but  :iagree: If ever there is a time so far off in the future where Dukes is forgotten unfortunately our whole culture probably went with it.  As much as everyone hates the show for the jumps our cars recognition is holding hands with fingers laced with the shows popularity.  Now theres both sides to that arguement but without that show I know a lot of you wouldn't be here today with your chargers.  Hell you might even be GM guys  :eek2:

I agree with this as well!

Mike DC

Me too.  If it was my show there might be an orange car flying with a 01 on the side, but it wouldn't be a Charger.

Landonsrt

Make it a mustang. Theres millions of them!
