What to make of this/pro-street?

70 Charger
69 Charger 500
69/70 Daytona

Blown70

Ok so here is what I have.... (keep in mind I do have another 69 charger too)

This already is a TUBE Chassis, Chrome Moly, with rear 4 link and Narrowed Dana.  I am asking more about the front of the car but could be a big towel rack on the back too...  edit as of 09/28/2009..

I have 70 fenders/hood, and a fiberglass bumper

I also have  68 Coronet grille to make a 69 500 and a pair of 69 Fenders......ohh and a vega plug....

Could also do a daytona clone/drag type car

Keep in mind I will have to attach anything to the front custom fashioned.  SEE pic below..older pic with 70fenders on.......but gives you an idea of chassis

Opinions thoughts........ :shruggy: :shruggy:

I vote C500 because like Jason, I'd love to build one someday. However, I think you should do something different and build a pro-street C500! :2thumbs:

Street/strip Daytona! A 500 would be cool as well. Or if you wanted to get really creative, design a way to switch between the two with say a days work...

My vote is for a 70 Charger, you don't see as many of them around.. just my :Twocents: though.
I will not make any deals with you. I've resigned. I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own. I resign. -Number 6, The Prisoner

But I am prejudiced, that's what I want.

Tom, What do you suppose I voted for?
68 Charger R/t white with black v/t and red tailstripe. 440 4 speed ,black interior
68 383 auto with a/c and power windows. Now 440 4 speed jj1 gold black interior .
My Charger is a hybrid car, it burns gas and rubber............

I've never been too in love with the window plug except on the wing cars.  I'd be honored to own a real factory C500 but I don't think I would wanna clone one.

As for the non-aero options, I might be inclined to build that Charger in the vein of the F&F Charger.  Obviously not gonna be a perfectly matching clone, but maybe more like just a similar black or dark-colored 1970 charger with a tubbed rear end and a visible blower.

These days that Charger movie car is to Pro Street what Milner's Deuce Coupe was to 30s hot rods.  Not everyone came out of the theater wanting exactly the same thing, but almost everyone thought the rough outline of it struck a chord.

Gents she would need a new front clip for that, the chassis now would never handle that road race type application.... look, mabye, just depends on the room the coil over fronts alllow for.  By votes, so far C500 is in the lead

looking into to redoing the chassis, woudl cost $4-6,000

Daytona R/T SE

moparguy01

well i see 3 options, 5 fenders, and 1 car. Which leads to only one possible solution. buy a 6th fender, and 2 more cars, and do all of them. :D

seriously though I think doing a 500 clone would be alot different, and to me different is cool.

Um, why is everyone suggesting NASCAR stuff when he's totally got a drag-racer chassis under both ends of the car?
