1) Where can I get that pin that spaces the axles, the one inside the ring carrier unit?
2) There is a web site that has all kinds of cool info about the 8 3/4 rear end like explaination of all the diffrent cases with pictures of the pinion splines ect...anyone have the link?
3)...OK three questions...the 842 is the newer case right? (35 years is old hardly new but you know what I mean)

Thanks

first htere are 2 sure grips
clutch & cone
the cone has a trapped floating pin that cannopt fall out , the clutch has pins that do fall out , Mopar still has teh pin/ spacer buttons for the clutch sure grip
there are 3 carriers , 741 -1 3/8" pinion early 60s - 69  , 742 1 3/4 " pinion much stronger btu same years of production , & the 489 used from 70-74 , this had the larger 1 7/8" pinion but used the crush sleeve so it iis more porne to failure then the earlier 742
