Yep different guy. The seller in CA went to LA area junkyards way back, I talked to him once, interesting guy.

He has some '69 & '70 Charger tags on there now too, I emailed Chris & Chris to make sure they saw them.

Interesting, from the auction;

A: No vin plate. Car was scrapped years ago, no idea about title status."

So why would someone want just the fender tag? What would this do for them?  Is it even worth the headache?

It could just be a collector of wing cars with an enormous amoutn od dipsoable income who thinks it's cool to have them to screw to the garage wall.  It could be someone who wants to collect them to ensure the cars aren't fraudulently duplicated.  It could even be someone with a nice donor Belvedere body who has the resources to obtain the rest of the documentation to "recreate" this car.
