Hello--I am in the process of freshening up the masticated rubber apron on my '71 Charger R/T.
This is the apron on the drivers side innner fender/frame near the starter. I have cleaned the apron but
it has some stains and discolorations. I thought about using SEM Trim Black paint on it, but since Trim Black is lacquer-based, it might eat up the rubber. Anybody know what I could spray this apron with to make it look like new? How about vinyl paint?  Thanks!

They use to mak a black tire paint that you could paint your tires with it, don't know it it is still available but  would check with your local parts stores first. works great.

Cheap idea but might work. Try plain old school liquid shoe polish, a couple of coats, followed by some of 303 protectant spray.  :scratchchin:
