I was looking through Ebay and saw this, it seems like a good price I just want some opinions on it. he originally wanted $10,000 there are no pictures of the underside and frame rails. :shruggy:

Yeah I see that now on the passenger side, didn't notice it before  :o frame damage is serious on these unibodies. That vinyl roof scares me too, looks like there could be some serious rust underneath.

Troy

Interesting color scheme.

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

Gimme a bent unibody over a rusted unibody any day.

I'm not saying it's necessarily a good buy or not, but if you're choosing between several cars than need major body work then you could do worse.

NMike

well it needs at least one fender, rad support is bent, trunk floor is rotted, quarters are rotten, rear valance and corners are gone, taillight panel is probably full of holes.

interior needs to be replaced, door panels are junk, needs a new grille, battery tray is rusted out,  bumpers need replating, shifter looks like crap. was an A/C car.

sounds like the car in my garage, but better.........

I found no less than six 68-70 r/t projects listed just this week.
five were $8k or less

69 r/t for 12k with a strong running 440 and get this all original metal needing no rust repair and no major dents!!

I would bet this car was in a front/side colision.  That means front frame rails, inner and outer front fenders, bumper brackets, radiator support, maybe some suspension work.  Also it looks like the damage may have gotten into the rockers and door pillars.  Inner/outer rocker repairs, door skins, passenger compartment floor.  Take a close look before you buy!!

Biggest problem I see is that the extent of rust is not described, that could be worse than all the other problems combined!

This is all repairable, depending on your determination and pocket book.

Also, look at the grill, in the middle it looks like it's droping down in the center in a small area?

Yeah the thing with Ebay is that being a short auction you really don't have time to go examine the car like you need to and when it is a buy it now, it makes you panic and think somebody else is going to get it before you, so you hit the buy it now. That's why so many people buy sight unseen on Ebay. I agree craigslist is much better.

The price is cheap $7,500 but that will probably go up to $15-20K when you factor in a restoration and it's not an R/T either.
