HELP!! Where can I find the engine code on 69 charger??

Looking to buy a car and under the gun for time to commit. Guy claims it is a numbers matching car however he cannot find anything other than the date stamp. Where would the numbers be on a 440 engine? He has the build sheet and it lists the engine number as 916 but have no idea what that corresponds to. I want to make sure I am getting a true numbers matching car. Thanks!

The VIN numbers (possibly the full VIN # or just the last 8 digits) will be found on a flat machined pad on the pass side of the block where the oil pan meets the block....towards the rear of the engine..
