No, the blue 70 R/T did. It was a very nice car.  Sorry I didn't get to meet you. I was sitting with my dad and his '63 Plymouth with the Max Wedge in it for most of the day.

It was a nice day for a cruise so all in all it was a good day. I had just put new HP exhaust manifolds on the day before and the car seemed a little doggy. I had just filled up with 91 octane and it was pinging so I backed the timing off some. I figured this was why the car didn't seem very responsive. When I got home I found one of the plugs wires came off during the manifold swap and I was running on 7 cylinders all day. I guess that might explain the slight power loss.

I have been out of the car hobby loop the last 2 years with work and now a baby boy. Yesterday was the first time I had it out for a long time.

Our car is the '71 gunmetal SE (picture shows the trunk and right side).  We took 2nd in our class.  The orange '71 R/T took 1st and the yellow Super Bee took 3rd.

I stopped down last year for a couple hours but missed the 2007 show. My car took 1st in 2005 when I just finished it and got 2nd in 2006.

I never realized you were in Waukon as it is just a short drive from my place. Sorry I didn't get to see your car but I know you have a new plan for a Daytona.

Yeah, the way I look at it is that the dream of a 68 Black Charger was fulfilled and now I can move on to the next dream. Would I love to keep them all? Hell yes! But unfortunately my back account wont allow that.

2005 huh? I think that was the year I had my gold 68 there. I got 3rd with that. Do you remember that car atall? Gold , no vinyl, Magnums, Black interior,and a 440 4speed.

I took these pictures in 2005 of the lineup but I can't find any of a '68 without a vinyl top.  This show was at the sports park or whatever it was called that year.
