It looks to me as its a Hemi daytona by the wheel covers .For this desert road test car

Very Cool.   I take my Daytona out there for a cruise all the time.   About 30 minutes away.   Funny.   The original owner of the Propain X Hemi Charger 500 lives in Borrego Springs.

The Propane X can was actually a loaded 4-speed car.  Gary still had the Transmission in his back yard.  He pulled the 4-speed out when they got it home in 69.  He wanted an Hemi Automatic and could not find one so he picked up the 4-speed one.  He lived in Whittier CA at the time.  That car had way more than 12 miles on it though.  They drove it tons at first.   The original 4-Speed is now back in the car.   SGT Broyles was the 3rd owner.  After Gary Nicholes sold the car it went to San Diego to a night club owner.  That is when the car was renamed and called Rated X.  The guy owned a strip club.  I don't know when exactly it went to NJ but 1975-6 ish.   Gary Nicholes also ran a 440 Daytona Bonneville in Sept of 69.  He went 199 MPH but they did install a Hemi in it for that event.  The car was sponsored by K-n-W Block Seal and I think it was car number 97.   I don't have the vin on the car as he was just the driver.  He has tons of pictures of that event and also of the Propain X as a brand new car.   I have to go out to his place again and take a COPIER.  He has ton of cool stuff in his album

Yep that is the vin..   Last time I saw it was in Los Angeles in the late 90's.   Car was just finished and then someone smacked both 1/4s with a baseball bat one night when he left it outside..

Wow thats sad that kind of activity took place and what happened to that car .This same thing happened to a hemi superbird in NJ back in the day though

A long forgotten trashed out back in the day hemi superbird.From  Morristown Mendham NJ.Guys name was Eric Price  I found a old neighbor of his.But never found him or any parts of RM23ROA174616 And never found that FK5 Hemi superbird

Just curious here, but is this a confirmed Burnt Orange car?  The ad says "orange", which normally meant EV2 or EK2...

I had found his old neighbor. We wasnt exactly sure might have been orange or primer or both .My question is if this car is even anywhere to be found.Recorded as living same thing goes for Eric himself .It was on Halloween -75 car was on a driveway on jackstands.And flipped over on its roof and glass busted and car beat up upon .Was all I was able to find

I have been trying to dig up something more on it as its from NJ . . I continue to pour thru any newspaper archives in NJ and numerous other states available.Finding wingcar stories that might have been news in a police blotter or a story.I find alot of dealer ads for 426 Convs aero cars and other raritys 68 Hemi Dart that sold new in Corpus Christi  etc etcTX .And this kind of stuff as found about  on 409031 the car refered to from Mass. And physical living cars that I heard about got vins from sources . .And trying to substainate in the newspaper archives there story as being in accident back in the day where picture and story was reported .I was looking up Tim L Australia flipped over daytona story just for starters.But ran into some material on that car.But nothing about its accident.I did find something about Steve Juliano cars that wasnt common knowledge and was found searching .That 1 of the Rapid transit System cars got damaged in transit on way to a 1970 Lubbock TX dealer .

Can you find the police/highway patrol blogs?  I got a speeding ticket in Banning CA a couple years ago in my original Daytona.  The ticket said 140+.  I had the needle on the P on the mph when I got a phone call form another friend telling me that the CHP were chasing me.  They Chased me for about 20 miles till I got that call then I just pulled over.  The CHP wasn't very happy at first.

I fought the ticket and got it reduced BIG TIME.  I lost the original copy.  The DMV shows just as speeds over 100
