Hey guys, my daily driver is starting to shift real hard if I'm putting my foot in it.  I checked the tranny fluid its burnt/clutch pieces in it.  If I baby the gas it drives fine, but if I hit the kick down shifter it slips a little and theres a huge loss of power, it slams into gear downshifting.  I have not lost any gears.  I was thinking if I change the fluid (atf+4)and filter plus add a quart of lucas and adjust the bands I can probably get through school for my last year?  I know the tranny needs a rebuild but I'm hoping this will get me by?  Whats your input, cash is restricted and I know this is a temp fix I just need it to last the year.

I guess you could try it. You may be looking for a used one unless you can rebuild it yourself.
