Hi all, first post. Awesome site, been reading here for about 18 months. I'm in Melbourne, Australia and have a 1968 Dodge Charger, along with a couple of aussie Chargers. After scoring a work transfer to Boston in January 2008 I found the Dodge in Ohio and had it shipped home.

It's a factory 383, console auto, bucket seats, front discs, power steering car. Nice options - not numbers matching anymore and it's had a repaint in 2001 Dodge Metallic Green. It's just driver quality all over but that's the way I like it, can drive it everywhere!

Here is my daily driver - a 1971 VH Chrysler Valiant Hardtop, 265 Hemi and 4-speed, runs a 14.9 sec qtr:

Also my other Charger, a 1972 VH Chrysler Valiant Charger - it's running a mild 360 and A833 4-speed, we had to butcher the floorpan to fit the A833 in! Has run a 12.7 sec qtr when it had a 3000 stall 904 auto:

Cheers!

It takes talent to drive and take awsome pics at the same time

Pulled the car out of the garage today to do some pressure washing to get all the mold off the car. Im surprised it was still there afterwards.

SO.....what's the plan for it? (now that shes had a bath) We want details!  :2thumbs:

Well all that mold had been setting on the car for almost 30 years. I finally managed to find some rear wheels and tires so we could role it out of the garage. Bought a pressure washer today for the fun as you can see the car in the pics.

Next step is sheet metal and rear frame repair. Passenger side rear frame aft of the axle is toast. Need to send it off for media blasting to see exactly how bad off the frame is. Saving to buy a compressor next to be able to pull all the bolts off from the front fenders and get the car totally dismanteled. I know for sure its going to have to have all rear metal. All pans from firewall back to trunk. At this point I dont think any metal can be saved. Possible roof skin or big patch panel where somebody hacked it up for the roof. Since it was originally an R/T, its going to have a 440 put back in. Im planning on mating that with a 6 speed manual. Original style dash, newer gauges. Viper, newer charger seats. Still debating on that one. Hotchkis suspension, undecided for wheels. Going back blue.

From the comments Ive been reading, kinda worried about how long it will take to get all the body components Ill be needing. Trying to find a good shop in my area that can do the body work and blasting. I have no experience in that field. Only mechanical work. Im going to have to go out on a limb and trust someone big time.
