Hey all, this is my first post, and I just bought this 74 Charger SE. 360 2bbl, posi rear end, runs and drives too! needs a new alternator and a tune up though, its hard to start and the battery dies after about a minute or so of running.
It's my first project car ever so I hope to learn alot from this one. It came with alot of parts and a set of magnum 500's (need to be painted though).

here's some pics

PS does anyone know what type of tranny would be in this? I'm pretty sure its the 727 but i just want to make sure, thanks!

Looks like you got yourself a nice start :2thumbs:   Don't be afraid to check out my Third Gen site too :yesnod:

Cool I definitely will. Thanks for the comments everyone.

PS. That yellow Daytona is awesome.

Very close. Same size, but just a little diff. He gave me the inspiration.

I've added some photos to my photo sight now that I finally got my car this morning.  I put it on an alignment rack to keep it out of the way but here are some more  shots http://public.fotki.com/drodg/   The car is virtually all orginal paint, interior, etc.  The engine has been repainted with some non original chrome.  It has 36000 miles on it and wow what a  stunning car.  Won't be driving it for awhile as the snow is a flying here in Indiana.   Thanks

The 69 Coronet is a kinda survivor.  It has 23K on it but paint was pretty scuffed and chipped so I had it repainted.  The vinyl top and interior are all original.  I haven't driven the Charger yet but the Coronet is one of the nicest driving muscle cars I have had.  Thanks

It's interesting to me how a Coronet, a Charger & even the Plymouth B bodies can have a such a difference
between them even though they are essentially the same chassis, interior & options.  I guess it's MoJo.  They
all have it but in different ways.  Hard to put a finger on it.

I'll be interested in your comparison between the Coronet & Charger driving experience when that day comes :popcrn:

I got the car just in time Friday nite.  We got hit yesterday with about eight inches of snow.  Love the Midwest in the winter.

pictures just don't do the car justice.  The shape of the car is so incredible, I have had alot of compliments from customers who remember the cars back in the 60's

Hello from snowy Russia!
Here is my treasure as it was found in small town, about 100 miles from Moscow. It seems to be the only 2 gen Charger in Russia :2thumbs: An overall condition is not so bad, regarding the 39 year age. In fact, the Charger "lives" in Russia (USSR) from 1980! Now I'm collecting parts for total restoration.
