You can get a original engine harness and have electronic ignition added on if you want .Bill and Rose Evans

I have a 68 Charger and I used the Painless harness they sale for Mopars. I normally use a universal harness made by EZ Wire. I can wire a whole car and have it running in 2 days. It took me over 3 weeks to put the Painless harness in my Charger. I can buy the EZ wire kit for under $200. and the Painless was around $439. I will say that I will never use another Painless harness.

What I remember when using the painless was the extra wire lengths you had to cut and deal with.

I used painless maybe that's why I have so much pain in figuring out the shorts and ground issues I have.

they should be called painfull wire systems. they are overpriced and not good quality. you are better off going to a junkyard and removing a fuse box from a car and going to harbor freight and buying their bulk rolls of different color wires. thats what i did on my friends belvedere. it looks great and works flawlessly. total cost invested was fractional to a painless kit.

I used a painless kit in my 68...    no problems here...    works well for me...       I have also used many different wiring systems over the past couple years and painless is the stuff i like...    EZ comes in second...      again this is for a custom build - for stock stuff just go talk to Evan's    :Twocents:

correct....    evan's does not...    you have to go to Year One for the dash harness...    not a huge deal. But I like doing all the more custom wiring myself...
