Here's another reason to say it's fake. Since the side window chrome has been brought up, why would the front & rear windows not get the chrome trim if the sides do?

its a fake

Does this look like the proper roof line???

DC_1

Do ya think this looks altered too!!!!

RD

i am still up in the air about it.   but i got a question.   what kind of van is that next to the car?   I do not think its a dodge.

Other questions:
Would the concept challenger be out in the open without any type of material disguising its lines?

What is that lamp type of object located on the passenger side of the car?

In the second pic, the van (that I do not believe is a dodge) has a door opened.   Would any chrysler design team member being driving a van that is not a dodge while following a concept dodge challenger that has no disguising material on it?

Statements:

I do see a body line on the passenger side.

The "chrome" trim on the driver's side could be glossy plastic trim that is reflecting the sun's light.   Passenger side is not in the sun hence no shine.

I posted the following on Moparts as well:

I think this is like the grainy vids of JFK getting his head blown off. Everyone sees something different to add to the conspiracy.

Do you all remember E8502 who briefly posted on this board (meaning Moparts)  with drawings of the '06 Charger before anyone had seen it? The same guy is saying that this WILL be the '08 Challenger which will go on sale in the spring/summer of '07.

Take it for what its worth.
I ain't got time for pain, the only pain I got time for is the pain i put on fools how don't know what time it is.

I am not saying a Challanger concept doesn't exist but I don't think these pics are legit.

I'm just relating what someone with obvious (and legitimate) "inside" connections said.  And he's not the only one.

This sketch was posted on the Cuda-Challenger site, I think the lines of the car & all the trim are more in tune with the new cars being made. I like this one a lot, but maybe something a little better for the grille.

I guess we will know if it ends up in the Detroit show in January. That's not very long to have to wait.

cudaken

I would not buy it! Who wants a new car that you need to have the spare tire in the rear seat! Trunk would be full with the extar doors! ;D

Well I hope you guys are wrong about the PIC being fake. I was getting up beat for a while.

All I can say is:
http://www.allpar.com/cars/dodge/challenger.html
"more tomorrow" and better than the "other photos" you've seen

Now this is  not to say that production is certain or that the styling won't change... just that the photos show  one of the concept cars that DCX will display at the Detroit Auto Show...

I say someone starts one of those mass letters like what was done for the Challenger.  Only this time show how much we like it instead of how much we hate the "Creeder."  It might help to encourage the design to remain very similar to what it is now.  Anyone good with words?

I think it looks cool!   :icon_smile_cool:
When I was just a very young lad I looked up and told my dad, a bareback rider's what I wanna be.  I want the whole world to know about me.  In the rodeo arena I'll make my stand.  I wanna be a rodeo man.  I'll come flyin' from the chute with my spurs up high, chaps and boots reachin' for the sky.  Spurin' wild with my head throwed back, you'll ask 'Who's that,' well that's Bareback Jack.  You'll ask 'Who's that,' well that's Bareback Jack.

"'Although Chrysler had the Barracuda and Challenger, they weren't considered pony cars until the 1968, 1969 and 1970 versions came out,' DeLorenzo said."

Man, they can't even get their propoganda right.  :D

So, I really DON'T have a Pony car, then? :eyes:

If they can build a two door Challenger, they can build a two door Charger.  As someone sort of stated earlier, I'm not the least bit interested in their Challenger.  I want a Charger, but, a cool two door instead of this sedan crap.   They won't build my Charger; I won't buy their Challenger.

Multiple 2 door performance coupes would be pulling a GM, with their SUVs.  There isn't a market for that.

I read 3 replies, stating that they wouldn't buy it, because DCX didn't build a 2 door Charger.  JESUS CHRIST, PEOPLE!  ARE YOU REALLY THAT STUBBORN AND HARD HEADED?  DCX is FINALLY building what you have all been begging for :  good looking, 2 door V-8 RWD performance car, and YOU STILL bitch. :rotz:  You people are impossible.  If DCX had built basically a 69 Charger with modern technology, I bet you STILL would be bitching.  Pathetic.

that's the sketch with the details i was thinking looks good.. but the photo that's suspect has some issues..
and yes that e805 dude from alpar was spot on with his charger info,.. i believe he's the one that did the sketch Inna napkin that turned out to actually be the sedan...
but the front a pillar/ cowl line,.. looks too thin to be a LX, & that blown up pixalated rear shot looks totally bogus,.. especially the rear upper glass corner..

Ok, correct me if I'm wrong but... you can't afford either car no matter what they look like or how much you love them. Who says that the people who claim they won't buy one could even have the means to do it or are in the market? I can say that I'd never buy a Rolls Royce but that statement has no value since I can't afford one to begin with. I could also brag about how I'm going to buy one (like some people and the new Charger) but that still won't put one in my driveway. People are freely allowed to express their opinions so if they say they won't buy it then any and all whining on your part to the contrary is pointless. Yes, some people really are stubborn and if a car company spurns them then they won't buy from them again (same as brand-loyal but in reverse). As far asI can tell, that car is NOT currently being produced so you really have no reason to call anyone else pathetic or impossible when purely speculating about it. (Especially not "you people".) When (and if) DCX makes a real 2 door RWD performance car then we'll see if people are really committed to boycotting. I wouldn't buy a new Charger if it was a direct copy of a 69 any way so there. Everyone knows the coolest year is 68. :P

And no, your Barracuda is not a pony car.
