Looks top notch!  :2thumbs: How long did it take you to complete? I bet there is no better feeling then to finally get it completed and able to show it off a bit.

It has been a four year journey of slowly buying parts and rebuilding the drive train as finances allowed. The dana 60 was built over 2 years ago, the trans about 2 years ago, the engine about one year ago, the seats about 2 years ago, you name it and it is either new, rebuilt, NOS, repop, used, etc.. .I don't know how many hours I have invested as it's just a hobby for me. I know I don't dare add up hows many dollars I've spent and I'm not totally done, (they are never totally done, right?) The car still needs a few touch ups, one more wetsand, buff, and polish, and the matte black stripe put on. I have several mechanical issues to work on and solve before I can really put the miles on it. My plan was to build a Bullitt replica for this year and hopefully next year put some different wheels and tires on it. Everyone was surprised that it didn't win a trophy today. We purposely arrived at the show late so that we wouldn't have a chance at winning anything, and it worked. It was also ironic that we were parked right next to a nearly new Ford Mustang Bullitt edition and the  guy didn't have a clue about the old Bullitt movie. I showed him my 1/18th scale diecast, the original 33 1/3 L.P, the dvd, and a set of black rdr 838 California plates i have and he looked like he was in outter space, he didn't have a clue... I pledged not to go to any car shows but my best friends wife wouldn't stop calling and refused to take no for an answer so I caved in. I did get to see many old friends, made a few new ones, and enjoyed all the " I used to have one just like it comments." I also found out about three more second generation Chargers nearing the end of the restoration process. They all told me to look out, were coming for you. I told them don't worry, I don't do car shows or cruise nights... They said 'WHAT???" I said my plans for this car is to drive the wheels off of it when I get everything ironed out, to do some real cruising, pack the trunk with a picnic basket, small grill, and hit the roads of Maine and New Hampshire looking at the scenery and relaxing, not sitting around in the sun all day because I've been there, done that, got the t-shirt, and the trophys... The look on their faces was priceless. I built this car to drive and enjoy and that's what we're going to do.
After three full restorations, a 1970 GTX, 1964 Sport Fury, and this Charger I can honestly say this is the LAST car that I will restore. The fun factor just isn't what it used to be. I'll always love these cars, and dream about how I can save every one of them but at 50 years old reality is setting in and it's time to not sell my latest finished car. I'm going to keep this one, enjoy it, and not move on to another project. But wait, my best friends brother has an
Arizona rust free turqoise 68 Charger that he may be selling.........HMMMM.

One question...
The guy with the trenchcoat and Winchester pump gun, you keep him in the trunk, right?  ;)
Proud member of the jack stand racing team since 1999.

I love it!!  :yesnod:
Thanks, I love your car as well. I still haven`t purchased my stripe yet. It`s your car that made me decide to go with a matte black stripe. Not a triple black Charger, a quadruple black Charger, that`s what I`m talking about.

I still have some mechanical issues to solve before I can really enjoy it but knowing that the bulk of the work is now behind me is a good feeling. Thanks to all for ll the compliments. For those that aren't done with there cars yet, don't get discouraged. I know I did until I realized to only focus on one thing at a time instead of the whole picture. By spending just a little time on it everyday instead of trying to get everything done at once made a huge difference in my attitude.

This Charger right here is a one of none, that means none before it, none to come.
