As I told you on the 3rd gen board... really dunno what to say... I got stunt, but I think I found something to say ( I'm not good to say something about this kind of stuff, but just being there ) I can understand the feeling about the contrast from feeling good and happy when recovering and everything suddenly turned out wrong.

as everyone said, keep strong for the next moments, to your Mom... And wishing everything will be the best for everyone, including your Dad. Simply I hope the torture won't last long a lot

Prayers on the way

I am sorry to hear this news. My thoughts and prayers are with you and yours.

I lost my father at quite a young age and it is difficult. Be strong for your mother and do not forget all of the times good or bad.

A song I heard by Lupe has these words:

Look up in the sky....you thought I was down....you thought I was gone....you thought I was around....but I left you alone....just look up in the sky ....see that I'm everywhere...shining down on you   !!!!!

I just got the call from my mom that my dad passed away at 8:31pm on Aug. 26 2009, age 67. He is at peace now. She is with my uncle, and told me she will be fine with her brother there. Told me twice to go to bed for work tomarrow. So, I am. I love you Dad, I will miss you, but will never forget the fun we had this spring. :'(

Thanks again everyone for your support.

Pete,
You and your family have my deepest sympathy. You must realize that your Dad is in a place where there is no pain & suffering now, and he will watch over you and your Mom from above. The best advice I can give you is to trust in GOD, because you and your family will need his support to get through this.
I lost my Dad in 2004 @ the age of 62. He had been through so many health issues since 1986, that we expected him to pull through this too, but the interstitial lung disease he had, got the best of him. It was very difficult as a family to watch my Dad's health decline so rapidly at the end. I will never forget August 23rd, 2004 as we had to make a decision to keep my Dad on life support or not. The doctors and nurses had tried everything and they said there was no help at all for him. After we saw his vital stats going crazy, we prayed and decided that GOD was calling my Dad home. I'll also never forget the words I spoke when he was pronounced dead: "My Dad saw me take my first breath of life when I was born and I had to watch him take his last breath as he passed on to eternal life." It is the most DIFFICULT thing I will ever have to do.
I did not write this to depress you, only to share my experience with you. I will tell you that although it is difficult to get through, it is not impossible with prayer and the support of those around you. Don't be afraid to talk about your Dad and the memories you have of him. It will help you deal with the emotion you are feeling.
There are other things I would like to share with you about the experiences I had with the death of my Dad, but maybe we could do it through our e-mails, if you are willing.
Know that my prayers are with you and your family. Be strong for your Mom because she will need to lean on you. I never realized the responsibility I was taking on once my Dad passed away, but I do it for my Mom. She has come a long way in five years and I am proud of her.
Please feel free to contact me if you need anything!!! My e-mail is listed in my profile. Take care and know that GOD is with you.

So sorry to hear that my friend. I lost my dad at 66 in 1995. He died of lung cancer and never smoked. He had just retired after 40 years for the same company. Very sad. I promise you, no matter what faith you are you will meet again. The pain gets less with time. Be strong and carry out the wonderful things he taught you.
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

Hope you & your family can handle everything okay in the coming days.  It's always so emotionally charged.

At least it sounds like his last days were relatively painless & dignified and he was still fully living until very recently.  After some long drawn-out deaths in my family I am thankful when someone goes more quickly.  IMHO it's better on the dying and the family in the long run.

Pete, I'm sorry to hear about this also, I know what you are going through. I just lost afew friends last week (up in there age). Back in 2003 I lost both my parents in the same year, my dad was very very earlyier in the year and my mom went later on in the year (8 months apart) and I was at a young adult age also. Your family will help you out to get through this as my aunt at the time look over me but very very early this year she went also  :icon_smile_dissapprove: . So hang in there man.
