hey guys what is the little red warning lamp on the speedometer for?? ignition warning or high beam

should be ignition, or charge, i believe the high beam indicator is blue.....

On 69s the red light is hi beams.

..was thinking of fitting one , as i have converted the Amp to a volt gauge   would like a instant warning like that of a warning lamp if i lose a belt at speed .  

but   not sure where the wires run to , trying to think what late model has one that i can look at the wiring diagram

non idiot charge warning lamp, you got ammeter instead.
