Radiator upper tank number "tags"

Anyone seen this before? I "think" it may have been brought up before. But, it's an obvious tag with the proper tank number for my car, 054......  Any insight?

EDIT** Ok, I understand now... couldn't see the tag overlay before. If I had to guess I'd say the factory used a regular 26" radiator off the shelf and attached the tag to make it a Daytona radiator. It's probably no different than any other 26" radiator other than what car it went into. Do all Daytonas have that?

I think I remember something that a bunch of radiators at one point were mis stamped and that was their fix for it.

It was just one of the rad vendors method of putting on the number. I have a few originals like that - all with the same vendor number. It is 100% correct (for that vendor). Check the date code on the rad side support and see if that looks ok.
