I installed a 4bbl Holley 570 carb on my 318(originally 2bbl). I bought Holley p/n 20-7 and 20-36 since the manual said I would need it for a Chrysler application. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/HLY-20-7/ and http://www.summitracing.com/parts/HLY-20-36/ The kickdown doesn't seem right. Does anyone have a pic of the kickdown linkage on a 4bbl carb? I drove it around and it wasn't shifting correctly. Any help would be appreciated. Paul

You are on the right track 2bbl and 4bbl throttle linkage(kickdown) are different.  You can modify it and make it longer by putting a threaded barrel nut in between two threaded rods to extend it.  You don't want to be driving it around like that because it will ruin your tranny if the linkage isn't adjusted correctly.
I'd put the 2bbl back on until you get the correct linkage or modify it. :Twocents:
Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

Here's a SB 4 bbl. setup on Ebay. The bracket in the center is the 4 bbl. bracket that bolts to the intake. If you look at yours, you will see the difference. He has 2 upper rods, one is adjustable, the other is not. They both should work for a 4 bbl.. It looks like the rod below the intake bracket attached to the bellcrank is from a big block, but the rod at the very top of the pic is for a small block.

If it ain't broke, fix it 'till it is.

Not trying to be the salesman, but I've got a four barrel kickdown setup for a small block/727 if you want it. Worked in my Charger with a 340/727 and Carter AFB. It's all stock stuff and should be everything you need. Price is highly negotiable. The stuff is just sitting in my closet and taking up space.

Just let me know if you want it. I've moved on to a 440 setup. I can send you a picture if you want -

He probably needs the 1 piece kickdown linkage.

That's what I've got. Sorry, forgot to specify - 71-74 Charger...
