This is a lot of money for this car and the auction is not over yet.    I find it hard to believe people would pay almost 30 grand for this low option, marked up green base Charger. That's R/T money, original or not in this economy in my  :Twocents:.  I guess it's a good thing for Charger owners knowing the cars still bring the bucks.

Says original but, if it's original then why is there a MotorGuard toilet paper air filter mounted in the upperleft corner of the engine compartment pic.  That filter hooks up to an air compressor to remove moisture from the out going air to prevent water from getting to your air tools or to keep water from getting through the air lines when you're spray painting.  Not too original.

Yes, it is a very nice car. Just can't for the life of me figure out what the compressor air filter is there for.   :shruggy:

Looks just like my 1st Charger, but mine was a G code engine. Everything else is the same.

Yes over 30k...why not?   Originality appeals to a select few who do their homework and know the value of original, correct & complete.  others learn the hard way... :Twocents:

No kidding.  Pay a little more now or a lot more later!!

We all have our opinins and I just think a low option base green Charger for over 30,000.00 is a bit high for the times.  But the high bidder does not and that's all that matters.

I Gotta agree here, Why pay a body shop $30k+ just for paint & bodywork on a rustbucket :scratchchin: :shruggy: LEON.

Those are the correct seats...no headrests due to its early build date 10/16/68....headrests optional up until 1/1/69

Definitely an "ordered" car...pretty odd combo to have full tinted glass with no A/C and an AM/FM radio with no other "A" code options....

This shot right here is worth every bit of 30k

That is a nice car. Leon makes the same point I have been saying for years.....You get what you pay for. It would cost a lot more than the price to fix a car properly.

bull

I don't see why $30k is too high. If I knew five years ago what I know now I'd probably pay $40k for something just like it.

nh_mopar_fan

I think this is the same guy that Clanton bought his car from a few months ago.

1969chargerrtse

Well I guess it's because I've only had my car for 2 years I'm still a Charger newbie and don't have a handle on prices yet.  I think in todays market it's worth about 25,000.00 tops.

Well I guess it's a good thing for me as my car is as rust free but with less undercoating, and it's not green.  If that car was a 440 R/T or SE I'd understand it, but....   Pretty sad for me that no one agrees with me. Oh well.

Is it that early that the engine is blue?

A question I pose.  :shruggy:

Back N Black

I say its a good deal. When i was looking for a Charger the vin did not mean a thing. I was looking for a car with minimal rust and most of it original sheet metal.

For me, not being an R/T isn't a problem at all. I love the car for what it is.....the highest HP engine available on a base charger, very original, and the COLOR ... I love green Mopars!

It's a very unique piece.  :2thumbs:
