'69 Hood Clearance with a 6-Pack??

A recent discussion has me worried now.

Are there any members here with '69 Chargers running a 440 6-pack with a stock 6-pack air cleaner?? Are there any hood clearance issues?
'70's came with them, so I don't think there would be hood clearance issues for '69.

Anyone??

I would think you would clear, not 100%...I'm anxiously awaiting confirmation though  :yesnod:

I think Brian Shaugnessy had his 6-pack installed before he got his hood scoop hood.

IDK about the addition of the hood insulation though....

On my 70 it sits fine...can ya post a photo of you hoods inside? Make sure you get the "non fresh air-air cleaner" I think they sit lower on the carbs.

Here are 2 underhood shots, best I could find in a pinch. One from my '68, the other my '70.
There may even be more room under the '69, as the '70's have a  center brace. '69's do not. The front bracing looks almost the same.

Recent discussions with people now have me scared sh!tless that it won't clear. In the beginning stages, from my research & discussions there were no problems. Now, some people think otherwise.

I have the regular MP repro 6-pack air cleaner to go on it.

There HAS to be somebody on this 'site with a '69 Charger with a 6-pack under their stock hood.

Anyone??  :scope:
