I thoroughly enjoyed Project Charger; it offers an example of what you can expect when beginning a resto (a 70 Charger in the book's example). I read it a couple of times, digested things, helped my understanding with the vast knowledge through searches on this site that help answer any lingering questions, then read it again.

However, there is nothing like experiencing first hand a car taken down then rebuilt better than new - your own or one belonging to someone else. I'm fortunate to be able to see this happen presently on a 1970 Six Barrel Road Runner owned by a friend with the resources to make that happen. It's an education in itself that gives me an appreciaton of just what it takes.
