Hanging is to good for these SOB Scumbags. Real Bummer. I know how you fell, I had a unrestored original Survivor car torched at 3 am up in a ball of flames. This happened in Alabama. No, Not my Charger, just a Ford. Still had sentimental Value though :'(  LEON.

The bad part is that 99 times out of a 100 the cops will NOT take prints unless it is a capitol crime. They figure "let the insurance co. work it out" Our house was broken into about 9 yrs. ago and took EVERYTHING, I asked when they were going to print? The investigator said "you have insurance right?" I shook my head and closed the door!

Agreed value policy.  I should get what the appraised value was.  I still feel sick about loosing my Charger but insurance helps.

Very sad.  :'(

From the way it looked (completely burned) those low-life punks probably dumped $10 worth of gas on the car... THAT FIRE MUST HAVE BEEN EXTREME!

Probally down some dirt road. I remember when a bunch of punks stole my dad's '88 Cherokee Limited, they dumped it down a dirt road in a parking lot by a river and torched it.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

What a shame.

Very intense fire!!

I doubt it, but it would be nice to see it come back. Just dont send it to the crusher...use it as a lawn ornament before you do that  :shruggy:

Just beyond stupid...

If the car becomes yours again, I think I would bring it back to where you had it stored and put it right back where it was. Then set up some cameras to survey the area. They say most times the little bassards come back to see what damage they caused. It probably won't help much in nailing them in court, but you will damn sure know who to take aim at.....

Sorry man. I know it hurts...

Sorry to hear of your loss Randall. And to think, I was going to ask to see that car when I was dropping off those parts last week....but realized it probably wasn't at your house...
On the upside (if there actually is one) your brothers former ride ('70 R/T) will definitely benefit from the infusion of cash!!

I remember drooling all over this car when you had it downstairs at Powerama a couple of years ago. Now I need to find the pics I took of it!!

It boggles my mind that the thieves didn't strip the car before burning the carcass.

A lot of very high demand, fast sale, rare, and expensive parts went up in flames. Very strange.

Maybe the thieves got paranoid, or changed their minds before they could get caught stripping the car for parts.  :shruggy:

That is disgusting. Is there any chance the car can be blasted and new quarters, fenders, hood and roof installed? or is the frame warped? I cant understand why thieves didn't strip it and grind off the numbers? what would possess someone to torch a car?

Yep I think that is strange also. Surely they knew that parts of the car would be valuable? But who knows it could have been some ricers who wanted a taste of American Iron and just burnt it down afterwards but geeeeez....those punk kids sure were very thorough in getting every inch of the car.
That just sucks. I hope things turn out as good as they can for you.

No sympathy from me to people who steal.  When I was 17 I was walking out the door from work and saw my first truck being driven away.  Nothing I could do being across the parking lot.  I worked one summer to buy it, and put about 50 hours into getting it roadworthy.  It ended up in another state and I had to pay tow/storage fees.  I know it's not a restored muscle car but I definatly know the feeling and feel thieves should be severly punished.

Steve P.

This is exactly why I like electric fuel pumps with a hidden kill switch. It may not stop everyone from figuring it out, but it will damn sure slow them down...

This looks like young and stupid to me. A quick dare/joy ride and burn it up to take away all evidence.  If they ever do catch the little bassards it should be a case of B&E, Grand larceny and arson. The B&E and grand larceny could be tossed with just a slap on the hand these days, but the added ARSON should put them away.

I think this is something that should be sent to the mopar and all car magazines so that it gets more people pissed off and aware. The laws need to be made much tougher. An eye for an eye rings a nice bell with me....
