What's with all the doors coming off Jeeps this spring?

No, I'm not talking about Wranglers or CJs. Just in the past few days here in the Portland area I've seen a Cherokee w/all 4 doors off and a Grand Cherokee with the two front doors off??? At the risk of offending the member who hates it when we use the terms "redneck" or "white trash" this looks pretty redneck and white trash IMO. It makes sense to me to take the doors off a regular Jeep because it takes like three minutes of work and it's by design but why a Cherokee or Grand? I don't get it. Oh well, just an observation. Do you see this in your (red)neck of the woods?

I've never seen that here.  Maybe they cant afford a Wrangler and want the same feeling with their Cherokee...

You should see it around here in the summertime...the closer Jeeps get to Moab, the more doors they lose. Plus, a lot of them grow external roll cages, that look rediculous.

All the Cherokees here have the doors...but they are all jacked up with the wheelwells cut out and big fender flares and all of that stuff. I tried finding a nice looking '88-'89 Cherokee Limited that wasn't cut up....good luck!
