Just saw this on the news. I found it funny  :smilielol:

"Perhaps inspired by Van Halen, retired soldier Lian Jiansheng, 66, broke through a police cordon and pushed would-be jumper Chen Fuchao, off a bridge. Chinese media reports that traffic had been held up for five hours while police tried to talk the suicidal Chen away from the edge. After being pushed, Chen fell 8 meters onto a partially inflated emergency air cushion and was taken to the hospital with wrist and back injuries. Lian was held by police and had this to say, "I pushed him off because jumpers like Chen are very selfish. Their action violates a lot of public interests. They do not really dare to kill themselves. Instead, they just want to raise the relevant government authorities' attention to their appeals. Both men face charges."

I read that a day or so ago.  So now it's most likely gonna go from suicide attempt to attempted murder is my guess. ::)
Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

Forza

In our country that would happen but over there I kinda doubt it.

Yeah, it sure is funny when someone is so emotionally distressed that they actually consider taking their own life.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

I dont think 26 feet with a giant 6 foot tall pillow landing would be attempted murder.  And if the guy was so far in debt that he wanted to check himself out early he wasnt trying very hard that he only chose a 26' drop.  Unless he was going to jump from the side of the bridge further down and was chased into the middle of the bridge by the police.

If he was truly considering taking his own life then he wouldn't have to be pushed.  There are much better ways to cry out for help.  One novel way would be to ask for help.    If he really wanted to go, why not take some pills and die in peace.  Or how about man up and consider what it would do to the people who love you if you kill yourself?  How about the ones who use the old fake gun and pull it on the police in order to get them to shoot?  or the poor engineer of the train that they jump in front of?  It's bad enough to want to off yourself, but how about sparing the rest of us the emotional scarring?
