Started on the rear drumbrakes today but got into some problems. I thought the little spring on the shaft between the brakeshoes was included
in the kit I bought but NO, so those has to be ordered. Secondly I can't figure out how to use the spring at the bottom for the adjustment,
to me it seems way too long. :scratchchin: Please check the pictures and let me know if I need another spring or am thinking wrongly.

Could it be that 10" rear drumbrakes doesn't have the spring over the emergency brake strut?

I posted some detailed pics of my 10" brakes in a thread quite some time ago.  If  you search using some key words and my user name you might find it.  I didn't start the thread I'm referring to but I added a few pics that you may find helpful.

Not the one Mike was talking about, but here's one that has a couple head on shots.

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

Thanks for the pics. :2thumbs: Seems then I got the wrong adjusterspring, looks moore like my small returnspring or?
Who sells these springs? I bought the kit from Jims years ago but never installed it, they don't sell springs alone though.

Let me check and see what I got in the garage today. I have a box of brake hardware left over from when I got new stuff.
