440 And Auto Trans Into 69 Charger With Hood On?

Hey all I was wondering if you can install the 440 and an attached 727 auto transmission into a 69 Charger with the hood on? I already have the hood on and lined up and don't really want to take it back off if I don't have to. I know me and my buddy were able to install a 360/auto into his 68 Valiant with he hood on. Will this be possible with my Charger?

Only if you do it from underneath.  Seriously though, mark where the hodd hinges are on the hood with masking tape and you will be able to line it up without any trouble.  You are only begging for trouble even if you could fit it in with the hood on.
Remove the hood and do it right.

I am not going to say it is impossible but why take a chance and make things difficult. I would remove the hood and save yourself a lot of grief. They are quick and easy to line up again. If you want just mark it with a pencil or something which will not be permanent.
