do you have some Chromed box do you want to get rid off ?.... I'm having some starting issues what I have not been able to locate whats exactly the problem. So I would love to get another one to test... Not able to buy a New on on $65 ( another priorities ), just wanting to get one used but sure in working conditions without missfail. The one I have is practically New from the box, thats the reason I don't want another new one but could it be some failing from box.

Quite often I move wires around and makes start. in other case I simply get back the key QUICK, get some backfire and then starts right away. In the past I had to ground directly from batt and made it start, but not allways.

I'm ALLMOST SURE is not a wire fail at least related in power, because if I did have some harness or wire problem ( talking about hot wires ) I couldn't get the brakes ligh on cluster allways lighted on, because on start moment the brake light is feeded by the splice on ballast and I never get lost that light.

Ground ? firewall holes were striped so I went with J nuts fasteners on firewall ( made some slots on firewall to fit the nuts ) to fit the module like factory, unoticeable fix, and now box is tight. I striped some of the paint at firewall too just in case.


Could it be some internal on ECU, so thats the reason I would wish some that does have some NEVER MISSFAILED Chromed box, but maybe replaced by an upgrade job to Gold or MSD system, maybe some chromed box laying around without use.

another stuff I considered:

coil ? will be soon to be replaced for a new one, what is witing to be shipped from Miami. actually I have an MSD blaster, but got a hit on a dist misfail ( shaft got stuck due bushing melted ), so THAT could it be a reason too.

Harness ? has been carefully rebuilt/upgraded... however I will check again, because was from a SB and elongated to a BB size.

Distributor ? new from the box MP unit... thanks God if pick up coil is the cause, is a stock easy to find locally unit, nothing fancy.

ECU will be the doubt yet
