The Mark 19 set with the 3 different calibre barrel and magazine used to run about $2300. If you want a set, just walk in to a gun shop with the cash and order it. Most shops around here have at least 1 .50AE in stock. The blue version is around $800, on average.

The ones I've seen around here run about $950 - $1550 each. And in most states you must be 21 and have your Concealed Weapons Permit/Concealed Handgun License. Usually there is a 3 day - 1 week waiting period, longer if they have to order the gun.

About the guns themselves, they're insanely fun to shoot ;D but if you havent got a damn good grip on it youre going to be in serious pain. The recoil on a .50 cal AE can easily break your wrist. Also they are not a good concealed carry handgun IMO because of their size and weight...

You cant move them across the border I know that. If you want one then go to your local gun store and inquire about them. You must have your FAC (it's called something different now). I'm not sure about purchasing it in Canada but I know that it must have a trigger guard and locked in a handgun case with the clip and the ammo in a seperate case. You can then ONLY take it out AT the gun range. When it's in it's box and in your vehicle you must go TO and FROM the gun range WITHOUT making ANY stops unless you absolutely, such as getting gas.

Ohhhh C A N A D A......everybody now... :icon_smile_big:

Seriously though, if the tree huggers and anti gun activists had it their way, none of us could even look at a gun and our children would wonder what a gun was just like they have no idea what a record is. :rotz:

For you guys these might as well be made of solid gold and have diamond encrusted grips. Because no amount of money is going to be enough for you Canadians to buy a hand gun legitimately.

You can only look across the border and sigh at our second amendment right...................

We can buy any handgun we want here in Canada as long as it's not that full auto one. The problem is we just can't take it out of it's locked box lol!

id spend the money on charger stuff instead, more  fun to use in my opinion

I think the .50 AE is overkill...   So impractical...   I would drop the money on a .44 anyday...   Ammo has to be half the price too...   Plus that Huge .50 slug has gotta tumble pretty easily...   I'd rather have the .44 in brush or in any terrain...

.44 I shot was DAMN fun to shoot.  Not much recoil at all...  the .50 on the other hand...  I saw a Sheriff deputy shoot once and I was watching him, he forgot to put his hearing protection on at the range, and about DROPPED the gun... It was hillarious...

Full auto? you mean machine gun? thats what a full auto is.......... and we can't buy them here either unless you get a spacial license..... or do you mean single action double action in is only legal in Canada and not automatic? this is intersting.......................been awhile of gun action terminology's, might be wrong..

We don't really need guns up here, except rifles for hunting.

Drache

Full Auto: Just hold the trigger and the bullets will keep firing in you run out or let go of the trigger. Those are illegal in Canada.

Secondly you can't even use a handgun for hunting up here so really they aren't of any use.

I've never shot a .50 caliber handgun before.  I'd like to try it though.  I have a S&W 629 .44 mag.  My cousin has a Taurus .357 mag.  We were going to have a contest next year to see who could fill their deer tag first using just the handgun and iron sights.  He blew it this year though.  We were out picking up some deer the group shot earlier and saw a buck about 75 yards away.  He said I wonder if I can hit that.  He aimed at it's head and hit it in the neck.  It dropped like a rock.

Oh about the Canada thing.  Stupid laws are made to be broken.  Here you have to be 21 to own a handgun.  I'm 19 and yes I bought the gun.  I also have a concealed carry permit.  According to the feds I can't have the gun but according to the state I can have a concealed carry permit.  It's the most idiotic law I've ever heard of.
When I was just a very young lad I looked up and told my dad, a bareback rider's what I wanna be.  I want the whole world to know about me.  In the rodeo arena I'll make my stand.  I wanna be a rodeo man.  I'll come flyin' from the chute with my spurs up high, chaps and boots reachin' for the sky.  Spurin' wild with my head throwed back, you'll ask 'Who's that,' well that's Bareback Jack.  You'll ask 'Who's that,' well that's Bareback Jack.

moparguy01

those pistols are a waste if you ask me. The only thing they are good for is target shooting. Far too bulky and heavy for concealed carry, no matter what you see in the movies. and as far as getting them in canada. good luck.

I agree with moparguy...they're kinda a waste.  I'd much rather have my HK or a Kimber 1911...Mmmmm...... :icon_smile_tongue:

I have to laugh when I here you can't get stuff like that in Canada. #1 yes you can. #2 it is very easy #3 you CAN get it walked across the border #4 It would be restricted to a 10 mile radius of where it is registered, to take it beyond that you need permission #5 handguns are not just for hunting...still useful up here #6 we can buy stuff here that is illegal in the states.....like the sks rifles that accept Ak-47 mags.

Also the FAC is called a PAL (there is also a POL)

These are my favorite handguns. I wish I could get home more to use them :icon_smile_sad:
