Fried Plug Wires & Wet Oil Fouled Plugs

Just changed plugs and wires on my '68 383.
The jet coated Hooker Comp Headers are frying my blue Accel Hi-Temp Stock plug wires.
I've tried and continue to use sock style boot protectors but they do little to protect the wires from blistering and cracking.
Is there a heavy duty high heat boot protector available?
All eight plugs were wet oil fouled.
Is this due to high heat?
Also does a spark plug boot removal / installation tool exist?
Working around the Hooker headers is a nightmare!
Thanks.

yeah they definitely make lots of different spark plug boot pliers, as for protection for the wires we've got a braided material sock style protectors for our drag car that work great cant remember were we picked em up but i can find out, if nothing else have you tried routing them differently? also oil can only get into the combustion chamber through either bad valve stem seals, bad rings, or a cracked block (heaven forbid)
hold my beer, this is gonna be fun

taylor boot protectors and some Firecore wires.

yes on the plug pliers.

sorry for your troubles.
Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?
