Here is Susan Boyle's quick one from Les Miserables  " I dreamed a dream"
I saw Les Miserables with the biggest cast at The National Theatre of Washington years ago.  Took my then fiance and she was like ho hum(dang smibs) This lady nailed it.

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

Sublime/Sixpack

I'm not only impressed with the talent of those two people, but also with the kind of people they seem to be! :2thumbs:

It's all staged -- it is tv you know (why did Simon stop this kid and then not explain it in his review?  why did they have the unknown (supposedly) next sound track ready to cue up?).  Just read the interview with Susan where she is asked did you find them or did they find you?  They found me was her response.  You would be surprised how many excellent singers are scattered around but have not been discovered for the mass audience.  That is what the internet media explosion is solving for those lucky enough to have access.  The same goes for all artists, actors, poets, writers, all now can bypass the gate keepers and address their audience directly. Good for us.  Kim
