Hi guys

I´m having problem with my Charrger 69 440 with carter avs carb all stock
When I start it up in the morning it starts right up, but when its warm i have to have full throtttel and crank it for a while before it starts up.
and when i turn it off it keeps on running for 2sek.....

the car feels week in low revs and get stronger the faster i go,
smells gas from the carb when warm

thanks in advance

Check your choke system sounds like its not pulling off all the way. Are you blowing black smoke, a sign of too much fuel.

SWE

Hi no black smoke but a lot of smoke (not white)

I would get that looked into pronto...if you are washing down your cylinders with too much fuel it's killing the bores and pistons.

It sounds like you are experiencing vapor lock....commonly caused by high fuel temperatures. Try using a carb insulating base gasket....these are much thicker than stock and measure approx 1/4 in thick. This will help to keep the carb and fuel cooler.

Coulden´t it be the needle valve in the carb thats leeking? and that makes it fludd ,maybe i should try to change them
