Will a 75 Roadrunner steering column work in a 72 charger ?

maybe some parts of the column yes, but shaft won't match your setup. You coul maybe fit one shaft from your car to the new setup being built.

Ign switch need to be changed to, because harness plug is diff

It is different, I think.  Here is what I can say from my experience....

71-2 are the same???
73 has a different coupler at the steering gear (may also be longer as k member isoloator mounts were added)
74 has a different hole in the firewall and the plate is different
75 and up?, but I'd be confident that it is not like the earlier style ones.

that info is correct, but you can make one asembly mixing several parts to match your one

beside that, 74 use an intermediate shaft, not a direct shaft up to box coupler, and a two studs holding bracket down the frame instead 3 attaching points like earliers
