I had cnn on this morning for a while, that show after Robin, hollywood tonight or something, was all about american idol.  I was on the computer, so I didn't bother to change the channel, lol, so I learned something about the show.  anyways, whatever.

Why would you want anything else?  Just give me a Charger and I'll be happy.

So Matt is gone and Adam was in the bottom 2.  Ouch, that must of gave him a scare.

That was a surprise. Happy to see Allison as one of the top two, though!  :2thumbs:

I like Adam but I'm wondering if it will be Danny?  Chris may get his 2 for 2 after all.

Loved the theme tonight.

The last duet was great. Adam and Alison(?) did Slow Ride by Foghat.

The rest? meh... They have more talent than I'll ever have, but they need to do better than that to get me to buy their CD or a ticket to their show.

It will be interesting to see what a producer will do with any of them when they start recording.

And then there was 3.  Allison goes home.  She'll be fine she's only 17.

From MSN.  American Idol served up a stunner Tuesday night. Fresh off visits to their hometowns during the week, the top 3 singers returned to the stage and performed two solos -- one selected by the judges and the other of their own choosing. And the night proved to be one of the most hotly contested in the show's history, with Danny Gokey, Kris Allen and Adam Lambert each throwing down masterful, showstopping performances. Even Simon Cowell had a hard time mustering any discouraging words.

The Scorecard
Still the one to beat: Adam Lambert
Upset maker?: Kris Allen
Back to ballads and sounding strong: Danny Gokey

I did watch last night. I tried to avoid it, but I couldn't find anything else to do.

They all have talent. They can all sing extremely well.

But if I saw that show live and could choose to pay only for the performances I liked, I'd put my money down for Kris' performances - especially that Kenye West song he did with the acoustic guitar. I don't even know that song, but it was the only performance that was truly entertaining, IMO.

Gokey can sing, but I don't find anything about him or his performances to call "showstopping." More like the EZ-Rock radio station that I skip past while surfing the dial. Forgettable.

Adam has amazing pipes. When he hits those high notes, though, it always seems like he's doing it because he can rather than because it adds something to the song. Often, those notes seem out of place even though he hits the note perfectly. And the tongue sticking out when he does it... :eek2:  he'll do fine do as a glammed up rock star.... a very awesome glammed up rockstar. I guess the theatrics are just a little too over the top for me.

Be quiet, Paula.

 :nana:

Sorry, I couldn't resist.

Well it's Adam and Chris.
My opinion It should of been Danny and Adam.  Danny sung his last song at the end of the show and it was flawless perfect.  Oh well, I quess It will be Adam as I thought that will win, but we shall see next week.

The wife and I agree the tongue thing with Adam has to go. Yuk. He's my favorite though.

Kinda feel bad for a guy named Chris on this site because he sad Danny would win.  But Danny isn't in the finals?  :shruggy:

First, I have to admit that I haven't watched all of the shows. So, I haven't seen all of Danny's performances.
What I have seen was boring, IMO.

I don't mean to take away from his talent. He is definitely a fantastic singer. His style and song type just don't resonate with me. That's why I said he was forgettable. To me it just blends in to the background.

I didn't have much to say about Kris until he did that Kenye West song - not that the song means anything to me, it was just very entertaining.

The funny thing about last night: they had Jordin Sparks on and I was asking my wife: Who's she? Little did I know she was the winner 2 years ago. Then I asked: "Can they take back the win?"

1969chargerrtse

Wow  :o and the winner is Chris.  Who woulda thunk it?  Not me.  The show was fantastic, even my wife loved it.  All the big stars were on that show tonight.  Thoughts?
