Quick update.

Thought id better get the black bits done before i start polishing it.

Masked up again to do the bit behind the grille and around the lights at the rear.

Also did some minor rework around the door jambs and the edge of the hood that i wasn't totally happy with.

Once that was done, i sanded and polished the top of the rear quarter.

Lots more to do  ::) ::) ::) ::)

Nice job.

Fresh resto and the radiator support is correctly painted.  Don't see that anymore,  :2thumbs:

A front wheel drive 2nd generation Charger, how cool is that!  My '70 was front wheel drive too until I changed it back.  It did good burn outs too, right Bill.  :insertsarcasm: ;)

NOS is nice, turbo's are neat, but when it comes to Mopars, there's no need to cheat...

Well, nearly the same! Mine has a White roof and stripe delete :)

Nice progress.  It's looking great!   :2thumbs:  Just curious though, from one T7 R/T SE owner to another, why did you decide to go with T5 instead?  I rarely see any other T7 (or T6 in '70) cars at all the shows I go to.  And do you have your car in the 1969 Charger Registery?  -Russ

Sorry, missed your post!

To answer your question, because i really dont like T7  :o I sprayed up a couple of panels with it, but i just couldn't convince myself to spend years restoring a car only to paint it a color i dont like. But i wanted to keep the theme of the car, so went T5 which is a slightly modified custom version for a greater flip than stock T5. The interior is tan, the roof white and stripe delete, just as it was originally.

Not in the registry, but only because i havn't got round to it yet  ::)

Anyhow, been compounding the paint (color sanding i think is the american term?) to get a real nice finish.

Couple of pics, thought they don't do it justice.
