Loud Thump Sound While Turning Left

I was driving my car in the rain today and noticed that sometimes when I turned left, there was a thump sound kind of like a dent popping but a lower pitch. There are no differences in handling when it happens only the sound. The car tracks nice and straight. Any Ideas?

double check the adjustment on your passenger side axle adjuster...    might be your axle sliding in and out ?

I'd try to turn the steering wheel in your car while it's moving and while it's sitting still (idling obviously for the help of power assist if you have it).

My Charger thunks a bit on turns when it's sitting still - in my case it's slop in the Pitman arm. I assume it also thunks when I'm moving, though I usually can't hear it unless it's a pretty sharp, sudden turn.

I'm going to -hopefully- replace the Pitman arm this summer.

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

That's to funny, until the can smacks the rear 1/4 and makes a outward ding.
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.
