71 Bee Man

G'day guys,

just got back from our biggest Mopar show down here - Chryslers On The Murray. Took a few pictures, a lot of A bodies (that's mainly what guys here collect), but also a fair bit of American stuff. My pics were pretty random; You can see them at :

http://s216.photobucket.com/albums/cc276/71beeman/2009%20COTM/

The drive took over 7 hours to get there through some of the dryest country I've seen. Also some more pics of my Bee (trying to pretend I'm a photographer) at :

G'day Mike,

the guy that owns that R/T has had it for about 20 years or more. It's not really detailed at all - but I know he has done heaps mechanically to it. It's an R/T....not sure what the go with the SE badges is - maybe he just liked the badge ???? :shruggy:

There's usually a couple of other 3rd Gens, but not this year. I also usually take more pics of the American stuff, but I've seen them all before.

That's an Australian R/T Charger.
265 cu.in straight 6 cylinder engine (Hemi 6)
3 dual side draught webbers
factory header exhaust system
close ratio 4 speed
3.55 limited slip diff
303 b.h.p
......from the factory. Fastest accellerating Australian production car made. 14.2 for 1/4 mile.
Some have sold here recently for around the $200,000 mark - before the recession that is.

The trouble is, there's a lot of fake ones out there as well as originals. I only saw a handfull yesterday that were genuine. Then there's also different variations of the R/T.....base models with a 2 barrell carb etc.

The hot ones are the E49's. They had all the good gear and were the fastest.

Pete, isnt the e49 still the fastest 6 from australia? I thought it still was? Also, weird how that guy put SE badges on his RT...still has some nice options though ramcharger hood, 4 speed...
