I have 1969 Dodge Charger with a 440 auto. I want to get as much horsepower that I can out of it. Any tips on Parts to use or Know how that may come in handy? I want great take off speed more that super top speed because I will never drive this car super fast because I would like to live a little longer.

What goal,what budget?

Quicker : bang for the buck a lower gear ratio, better suspension, and better tires are probably best improvements...  Did I ask ,how are your brakes?

A  4.10 axle ratio, with a suregrip in a 8 3/4 inch or dana axle will give improved acceleration at the expense of top speed and gas milage. You will need a good cooling system to drive on the freeway, 3000+ rpm at 60mph.

more horsepower: low restriction exhaust , headers, tune the carb and ignition are good places to start , assuming you have a healthy 440.
