That feeling does suck. When the carb gets there you'll be all...  :woohoo: .

I believe I mentioned the cold in another thread so I feel your pain.  It only helps a little bit but last year I took a camcorder out for a long cruise in the car and just pointed it out the front and drove.  Every once in a while through the winter I'll slide that dvd into the tv in the garage and just sit in the car and have my little private drive-in movie.

yea, should be here tue or weds. Im a good mind to go tear into the leaking 3310 out in the garage I took off to see if i can get it rebuilt myself to tide me over till weds. :smilielol:

the original leak was up on the underside of the front of the carb pictured here (top/highest in picture) I wonder what it was

I stll have LOTS of interior dash work to do, then find someone to install a new windshield and then polish all the trim.  I have about a month to go.  I hate it when the car is apart.  :'(
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

A carburetor? Is that the only problem? I've got my transmission scattered across my work bench because the torque converter took a sh!t after 1500 miles. The engine has the same amount of miles on it and the paint wasn't sticking. So I put it on a stand and cleaned and cleaned and cleaned it off. Then I ran out of paint.  :brickwall:

I'd fix your old carb and send the new one back. As clean as yours looks it can't be that old. A kit is cheap. Comes with instructions. Holley's are easy to work on. And sitting will dry up your old one and ruin it.  :shruggy:

yes, i could, and would, but im trying to build up brownie points while its still winter and cold. See, times like this when im not messing with my car buys me future days/weekends of 'car stuff' or as my wife puts it, 'time with my clunker' down the road. So days like this, ill stay home, play with my daughter, go places with my wife when there are not cruises and shows and then when they do get here I can say, "Hey honey, remember when I spent the weekend with yall? and she goes yes, "well this weekend or today im going to XXX with my clunker." And she wont say anything except, "Ok honey"  :icon_smile_big: :icon_smile_big: :icon_smile_big:
