IMO, that photo shopped version will not happen. I think they need to change the qtr shoulder, IMO it resembles a rustang too much. IIRC the 2010/2011's will be release at an auto show in April.

why are all artists renditions never of a plain jane production style vehicle, but rather some sleek, low to the ground, low profile tire hanging, sporty rendition that has no bearing but to entice and excite people to think the dang car is going to be more than what it is.

hmmmm... didnt this happen the first time too?

Of course, the artist does call his website "creating the lie".

If that was real, I would be jumpin up and down. A two door will never be built now. :rotz: :rotz:

Foreman, that one that you found is definitely a lot nicer than the one on allpars site.

the design by Doug is great and I think is the best design around floated on... some touchs here and there and will be even more georgeous.

I don't think the a new REAL charger would need to be an exact replica of a 2nd gen front end, but yes some reminiscense of that... and some more coke bottle shape. Those shoulder on quarter looks lot generic quarter shoulders from any modern car.
Venezuelan RT 74 400 4bbl, 727, 8.75 3.23 open. Now stroked with 440 crank and 3.55 SG. Here is the History and how is actually: http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,7603.0/all.html

The drawing/graphic on allpar.com is just wrong.. even if it is supposed to represent the images on creatingthelie.com

:soapbox:

The wheels and brakes are completely out of proportion, hideous Oring tires.  :puke: The door looks like it is artificially shortened. The front of the thing looks like they were modeling a Ferrari. And I just don't like the 70 nose treatment. The rear end lines look stolen from the Challenger/Cuda with the flat deck lid dropping into the rear door.

The creatingthelie.com version pulls in the arched tail lines but then loses it with a straight shot across the door. The grille and front end is a tasteful nod to the classic, IMHO. Overall, It brings in way too many of the styling ques from the current "Charger" which may be a capable car/sedan but is not a charger. And I just hate that about it.

Pretty sure this one is going to be the real deal.  Those renderings are just people having fun.

See the second gen styling cues?  I'll point them out.  I adjusted brightness/contrast.

And this is the pic of the 300 floating around.  They say the interior is awesome.

And we should be grateful if they include those two.

These new pics are popping up on other forums, but they seem like photo shop treatment of the current body to me.

Anything that looks good enough to generate any public enthusiasm is not realistically producible.

i like it a lot. but they will change it.

FLG

They need to loose that ugly curved front end. Make it straight and that should look bad a$$. Not digging the "bubbly" kinda roof either.

I don't know what to think. The new version seems to far from the current path. However, Allpar has been pretty reliable on their information in the past.

Plus they definitely got this information right...so who knows

"The next generation Charger is expected to merge the styling of the current version with a more classic look from the famous 1968 Chargers, one of the most stylish vehicles ever built."  :nana:
