I don't think the bombs that fell from the sky were Iraqis bombing them self... Anyways, when two are fighting, there are always those who get caught in between, I feel most sorrow for them, not the the soldiers..

More of Iraq's people have been killed by insurgents or terrorists than by the US Military. Look, we could go back and forth about this, but that will get us nowhere  . The US is there to try and help a country that has been oppressed in one form or another for the better part of three thousand years. Whatever you think about the politics of this war, The US Military & their allies are there to Help.

Well, that was a short-lived tribute to our soldiers. Thanks for trying, Lowprofile. Mefirst, I could have lived w/o seeing your Robert Fisk link. Yea, we know innocent people get hurt and killed in wars but I don't see the benefit in posting graphic pictures of mayhem. The lengths to which people take the anti-war agenda is rediculous to say the least. Saying you're anti-war is like sayiing you're anti-hurricane or anti-disease. Wars are going to happen and I'd just as soon stay on the winning side.

Damn, 3000 years ago people in the Middle East had coulture/civilisation when Europeans still lived in caves and beat eachother over the heads with sticks and America wasnt even known to excist..

You say the people In Iraq were opressed, true.. well another question -When will Usa attack and liberate the China, Tibet, Noth Korea, Kambodja, Vietnam, several African countries, and the list goes on of countries where the governments are opressing the people.. The American government should in other words not stop with Iraq.. Even I feel opressed by the Swedish government, when will America come liberate me and give me freedome?

You see, this thread was started to point out a part of war's reality we rarely if ever see or hear about from the negatively-focused news sources you apparently applaud. You also apparently assume since it is a war nothing good happens during it or because of it and that is foolish. I get the feeling you idealists just want to ban everything that appears bad on the surface without taking into account  that sometimes bad things must happen for good to prevail. Say you have cancer and you know that surgery and chemotherapy are not positive experiences. Do you just focus on the bad experience and remain sick or do you see past the bad and take the chance that something good might come of it? Bad people in this world are a cancer and they should be removed. Should all the good people who fought in WWII rather ignored Hitler because war is bad or should they have done what they did and take the cancer out? If we had the resources and the help from other countries that enjoy our same freedoms I would gladly deal with "China, Tibet, North Korea, Cambodia, Vietnam, several African countries" etc. and continue getting rid of all the cancer on the globe. Unfortunately we are hamstrung by a large global population of idealistic pansies who think sticking flowers in the gun barrels of wackos will magically turn them into benevolent, kind-hearted kitten-petters. It just doesn't work that way. And that's reality.

Sweden is actualy not my country of origin, I just happen to live in Sweden.. In the last 200 years Sweden hasnt done that much, other than giving alot of people from different parts of the world a place to live.. What Sweden did before those 200 that now has went by, well the Swedes did a hell of a job fighting in Europe with the Danes, the French, the "Germans", the Polish, The Russians, etc.. But like I said, the Swedes have stayed within the swedish boarders the last 200 years.

Yes. A Couple of teenage dummies running from the police tried to hide in an electrical sub-station and have sence become one with their god...... very touching.

The underlying problem is the fact that France has a terrible immigration problem and it has come back to bite them in the ass. Adding to that problem is all the usuall problems you get when there's too many people in one place.....no jobs, no food, no hope.
OK, NOW PAY ATTENTION
Add to this the Islamic fanatics that are stirring the pot with the young, disenfranchised Muslim youth who figure its OK to burn down the city who welcomed them from whatever third world shithole they crawled out of, and gave them a new chance at a better life.

I hope the French Govt gets tough with these assholes and ships them back from whereever they came from.
