Way to go team Mopar and to Funny Car Champion Gary Sclezi.   :2thumbs: and of course the smell of Nitro   :thumbs: and of course the fish tacos   :thumbs: and did i mention the chicks, oh my   :2thumbs:

But :icon_smile_angry: and this is a big but, the Mopar tent was NOT! there. What? no Mopar Hemi parts on display, and a Mopar funny car wins the Championship? Way to go Mr. Creed and Team Daimler. If those guys can't understand they missed a huge weekend, then oh well.   :shruggy:

  Also, parked at the front entrance was a shiny new go-mango orange Daytona R/T Dodge Charger Unleashed.   :sleep: But the best i saw was a Top Fuel 4.446 @ 331 mph at dusk w/ the headers flaming on. Cool.

   Sorry, no pics, always had 2 beers in my hands. :icon_smile_big: But i do remember an almost track record Top Fuel run 4.446 @ 331 mph. It was at dusk with the header flames shooting out. Wow!

    Not to hijack but I went out to the bar last night for my B-day.   Every TV had the Eagle's and Skin's game on but I convinced the bartender to put the drag races on one of the smaller TV's.  Unbelievable.  What a night for the Mopars!!!  I envy you Big L.  I would have given anything to be there.  Tony Shumacher winning top fuel and the championship, Scelzi winning the funnycar championship, and Jeggie winning the event in pro stock.  I had my Mopar hat and shirt on and as loud as I was, they must have thought I was nuts.  Awesome night.

The Funny Car championship was areal nail-biter. Reminded me of '90 when the Top Fuel championship was decided on the very last run (Amato/Ormsby).

I was there supporting Ron Capps all weekend.....too bad in the second round against Cruz :(  but I'm happy for Gary and the crew at DSR.

Can't wait for next year....Watch out for Capps!

And now I read where Jeg Coughlin is leaving the Schumaker stable to "re-evaluate" his career.  Wonder who'll get that ride for next year?
