I'm in the middle of updating the site (a large, well needed update -- that's why the site looks half torn apart) and I'm wondering if anybody here has anymore pictures of forgotten Mopars they'd like to share? It would be appreciated!

Whats up with page 50? :shruggy:

I had a T5 '69 Charger R/T and a Plum Crazy '70 Superbee on it. I saw the pictures on Moparts, contacted the guy (obviously wasn't on for a while) and asked if I could use them. I never got a reply. I used them (probally shouldn't of) but I put down "to the owner (I put down the member's username from Moparts) of these pictures, PLEASE CONTACT ME". He ended up contacting me a few months later screaming and being all rude telling me to take the pictures off the site so I did. I haven't put new pictures on there yet.

You took without asking AGAIN, assuming it was ok, and you're saying he's being rude asking you to remove them from your site?  Haven't youl learned yet not to take other peoples stuff without getting permission first?

Ryan, the last thing I want to do is get into it again and get another rotting Mopar thread locked. I'm fine with him being mad and everything, I accepted that but after I apologized and took the pictures off, he still acted rude but it's all good now, we're talking now. It was again, a while ago. Not recent.

Here we go again.  I still don't understand why people have to ask?  Let it be known to all, if anything I post or took a pictire of is on THE WORLD WIDE INTERNET, it is "out there" and you can copy it.
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

I agree! If you post a pic on the net with no kind of copy-right, there should be no issues. If you dont want your pic on the net don't post it.

People do this all the time on this site and many others...I don't know how many ebay pics from ad's I see on here but its alot. And I'm thinking most don't ask to use them. The way I look at it is, If a pic is one that I don't want copied I put a watermark on it.  :yesnod:

Copyright extends to the internet, the person who took the picture retains it no matter where it is.  If he doesn't want others to use it, he has the right to have it removed.

I disagree with Ryan's position on this issue.... (even though he may be "technically correct")

I feel the same way as others.... if its already on the web, it should be fair game as long as its not used for malicious intent, to defraud, or make a profit.....I really don't see any problem with it.  :scratchchin:  On the other hand, its very polite to ask first.

What about the zillions of pictures copied from the web each day without anyone asking?  :shruggy: :shruggy:  At least, Cody attempts to do the right thing.  Even when he can't get permission ...he always credits the resource.  Isn't that what kids are tought when writing reports in school. Hell, we actually cut pictures out of magazines - - what's the difference??

mikesbbody

Why do you have to be such a dick every time the rotten mopar thread's come up ryan?

Let's get back on track here with some pics somebody...

Plus every web page you go to you end up with a copy of the pics in your internet history...

I agree. If you don't want it copied, add your name or a watermark to it or if it is on your personal web site, make sure you have it in plain sight that you don't want anyone to use the pics without permission.

Hopefully he will let me take pics inside the shed. The charger is in there. The car is a factory black with black vinyl roof, red stripe and red interior. It is a console 4spd with a dana track pack. Nothing real special though.   :D
