So what do you think should put a vinyl top on or leave it like it is?

is your charger coded for a vinyl top  :scratchchin:  silver with a black top would look good  :yesnod:

It's not the original color, it was a pale yellow color with a white vinyl top.  It was painted in 1985,  I buffed it out a month ago and it still has a nice shine to it.  I'll get it painted someday, I doubt I go back original.  I probably paint it the color it is now, trying to decide whether to put a top back on or not.  It would be alot darker color, but it faded pretty bad.

IMHO SEs are made to carry vinyl tops.
