I am installing my torsion bars and the service manual doesn't say how far to install them into the LCR. Do I bottom them out or just enough to install the Clip?

I bottomed one out in the LCA and I had like  maybe an inch between the clip and the bar. I measured my originals so they are the same length. I figured maybe after you drove it they would settle in? or maybe they move back and forth anyway and it dosent matter? Out of fall the mopars I had I never had to have any out. Of course that was when they were newer back in the day.

I put them in last night. I put them is so there is about a 1/4" past the clip. 32 people have viewed this but no one chimed in except Tan Top....oh well I guess it doesn't matter and this was another one of my stupid questions again  ::)

just enough to mount the C clip... BUT IMHO I will try to get same deep hex section on each end, ( LCA and Crossmember ), because they are getting basically same loads on both ends

I just push them in far enough to get the clip in. They will move around when driving, control arm bushings flex etc. just put lots of grease on them :2thumbs:
