I voted for distractions. I find myself easily swayed sometimes. Although lack of funds is a very close second.
However, when a Charger part comes along that I have been needing for a long time, I snap it up...so I guess I'm not completely stagnant, where the Charger is concerned. :icon_smile_tongue:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

No money! :'(
And its not for lack of effort, just lack of possible pay checks, I'm always looking for work, any kind!
Let it alone^.

Lack of motivation.I have lots of excuses. No heat in my garage, working too much(make hay while the sun shines?),bought another project I did not need (67 belvedere),stress on the home front,do not like the nitpicky final details especially interior work. At least my charger is drivable so as soon as the roads are dry (April,May?) I will find the ambition to work on it.

Mostly lack of skills. I'd have the money if I could stop buying more projects. When my progress is stalled I start looking for all the things I need and find a bunch of stuff that I don't. Now I have lots of cool stuff but my cars are still waiting for someone with more talent.

Now now now, you know help is just a phone call away. Just drop it off with an unsigned ( preferabbly blank ) ck and pick it up _________ ?( to be determinded)

I have a lack of space at the moment because we have to get our 56 Caddy done first before I can start bringing up parts of mine. And for some reason I am not allowed to have it at the house until it is completely finished.

I probably will I just have to change my dads mind. I have a feeling it has to do with the fact that my brother would turn a one day job into a one week project and would never clean up the tools and tie up the garage for that whole week. I think he thinks I am going to be the same way with things.

if anything, I am over-motivated.

no hold up here. the car is running great, so I have been working on my motorcycles last few weeks, giving the Charger a break....finally scored a lift, got it for the cost of a rental truck from seattle to sfca, me and 2 friends
got it set up yesterday and today( basically an unused 9000 lb Rotary lift, just slightly crusty from
a couple of years laying on a shed floor, unassembled) and am going to run the power to it tommorrow. should make messing with the Scow and whatever else a lot more pleasant.

also dragged back most of a 1930 Model A truck.hot rod  that me and a friend are going to finish for a dude, kind of a fun project.

any members in the bay area need to stick their car on a lift for an afternoon, come on by.

Been assembing the parts for a crossram ...may stick a different cam in the car in the spring and try that out...so currently car runs great and I am just piling up the parts for a stab at more HP or something..........

my main dilemma is all my clothes are destroyed. I think I need to invest in a couple of pairs of jumpsuits or coveralls or something.

I'm pretty sure we can all attest to that statement, I keep saying the same thing about the coveralls, and the kicker is I have them already. :slap:

My motivation factor has risen in the last week or so.  Today I'll be in the garage working on my cah.  Finish up the Fabulous fuel line install, put the fuel pump back on(dont' ask), rip the alternator off and prepare for the new brackets/hardware from Megaparts(thanks Brian for the number), get rid off those crappy red wires in prep for the Firecores(thanks Ron) and clean up the engine bay a little and start on the new brake booster I got from Jeff yesterday.  Let's see how far I get.  It's so fricken cold in my garage but I'm punishing myself for not working on it sooner.

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

Lack of money  leads to Lack of motivation  and makes it Low priority  and thats distracting Lack of time , space & ability are the other  combination of reasons

I guess my biggest holdup would be "Lack of a plan".

I've been buying parts for this thing for 10+ years. Not alot at any one time until this last year. I have all my heater and A/C parts I need, they just need restored. I have a grille now and am buying parts to repair and restore it. I have most of the interior that I need. Still gotta find another engine and tranny and I'll probably want another rear differential.

I also have 1941 John Deere "H" that I need to finish first. I should have it done sometime this spring or early summer.

Another reason I overlooked. I spent money on this crap before I started the Charger. If I had only saved instead  ::)............. :brickwall:
